Donovan Architect’s Cornerstone at Branchburg, a premium age (55+) and income-restricted apartment community, this month won the 2024 Governor’s Excellence in Housing Development Award, rental project category.
The annual awards celebrate outstanding contributions to housing and economic development across the state; the 150-residence property in Branchburg was recognized for providing high-quality, affordable housing options to meet the diverse needs of residents.

The 2024 Governor’s Conference on Housing and Economic Development, featuring a special awards ceremony, was held at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. Coordinating agencies for the annual awards include the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA), the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Financing Agency (NJHMFA) and the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority (NJRA).
Located on the corner of Old York Road and Route 202, Cornerstone at Branchburg is designed and constructed to meet LEED® requirements and ENERGY STAR® certification. The community, situated on nearly 12 acres, is comprised of two three-story buildings, offering 75 units.
