Adaptive reuse of a historic light-industrial warehouse property to mixed-use commercial creative spaces, office space, and retail.
Originally constructed as the Durabilt Furniture Factory in the early 20th century, the property is located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The project sits in the center of the heart of the commercial corridor for this bustling community. Donovan Architects designed the reuse of this commercial space and renovation of the property, including the construction of a 4th floor overbuild. Completed in 2020, the four-story building now features five (5) commercial spaces and one (1) retail space, within 25,361 square feet.
