Full of energy-saving features, the single-family home was built utilizing green building techniques and materials. The modern four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home sits on an oversized lot within the Whispering Hills neighborhood of Barnegat, NJ.

Other energy-saving features found in the Barnegat Passive House include a continuous air barrier wrapping the entire home, super-insulated walls and floors for comfort and sound reduction. A slim duct heat pump unit with inverter technology meaning quieter operation and stable temperatures throughout, and a hybrid hot water heater features protective alerts. An energy recovery ventilation system uses fresh air intake to maintain healthy indoor air, and super-efficient steel reinforced UPVC triple pane argon gas-filled windows keep temperatures stable indoors.
